My 1 and ONLY complaint is that for some reason it says it can not charge this device when i connect my ipod nano to it. sooo thank you to those of you who wrote all of them. i purchased this product based on the customer reviews on amazon. it plays it fine, and works perfectly, just wont charge it. and I was pleased with the product given my expectations perceived from reading the reviews. It is a nice model, how it holds the ipod, verses the cord, the sound quality is pretty decent, i was surprised at how great it sounded because i did not have high expectations for this. which is a little disappointing, but other than that i am very pleased so far. I would defiantly recommend this product :)
This transmitter is ok. Since the music comes via radio waves you get radio quality sound. I wish my car had a mp3 plug but in the meantime this transmitter will work.
This isn't the best technology out there anymore, but it's certainly a great product for the price ($7 plus shipping when I ordered it). All pieces arrived perfectly packaged, all completely functional.
I did not have to pay $45 or WAY more for this, and for that, I will gladly tune it in myself, which took just a couple minutes choosing between a couple different ones to decide which sounded best. of course they want you to buy their own branded high priced chargers. if you're careful with it, properly loosen the screw before you adjust the "arms", there shouldn't be any problem with it. Did I mind having to push a button a few times to get it tuned in.
I get no static and so far no other interference from other cars. No way. Look at the price difference between this, which I am assuming is a close out on a discontinued product, and one that will scan the channels for you. While I understand some are not happy with this for various reasons, such as the fact that newer iPods will not charge from it, that is not the fault of this product, but of the iPod designers. The only thing I would have liked better would have been to find this in black for this price so it would match my iPod but I can live with it anyway. I don't understand some of the issues with something breaking on it.
I used the really thin pad for the purpose of protecting the back of my iPod from scratches; it was held quite snugly without it as well. The sound quality is excellent.
It's a great deal for good quality, especially if you've got an older iPod. I have an older iPod video, a 60gb, and this thing works flawlessly.
I would swear the cheap one this replaced was picking up satellite radio or something from other cars some times. I did have to use the extension for it to fit properly but that also put it in a better position for use.
It holds firmly and steady. Driving near high power lines and such has caused no problems either.
It DOES charge mine.
I bought this for my husband, he loves it. It will fit any car. It works great. You can change which station it is transmitted on. It has an extension so it can reach any cigarette lighter. It was a great price also.
